Angel Tree

Angel Tree 2020 Re-Imagined

Children who have a parent in prison often feel forgotten. Crossroads participates in this program to provide Christmas gifts to children on behalf of their incarcerated parent, letting these children know they are not forgotten by their parent or by God. This ministry is particularly important in 2020 where many of these children have been unable to visit a parent in prison due to COVID restrictions.

Prison Ministries has reimagined Angel Tree 2020, due to COVID challenges, and introduces a completely virtual opportunity year ensuring the mission of connecting a parent and their child(ren) at Christmas is accomplished.

Although many of us will miss the shopping, wrapping and direct connection with the children, we have the opportunity to keep this ministry alive and reach even more than the 150 children we have served annually in the past.  The program is simplified – all we need to do is go online and sponsor a child. Prison Ministries will do the rest.

We have our own Crossroads link and code that will display angel tags for all of the children with whom we have sponsored. Simply log onto the link, enter our passcode, and shop and pay online, as many of us have become accustomed. You can search for a child by age, gender and be notified if there are siblings to select. You can  choose to buy a gift for the caregiver of the children – something many of you have chosen to do in the past.  The amount of your donation will be $22.00 per child selected. A $20.00 Wal-Mart gift card will be mailed in a gift bag along with a personal message from the incarcerated parent, literature about Christmas and God’s love, and a mail-in coupon to receive a free Bible. ($2.00 of your $22.00 donated goes toward the cost of delivering the gift)

Thank you in advance for supporting this ministry in its new form and for making a difference in the lives of these children, caregivers, and incarcerated parents. Crossroads has committed to serving 150 children and we can do that and more. In the past we have purchased 300 gifts which in this virtual model would be the same as sponsoring 300 children. If you have questions, please contact the church office.
