Sunday School for kids at Crossroads starts right after worship at 10:15 a.m.
Awaken your child to the ongoing story of God!
Children’s Sunday School meets directly after worship at Nine with visiting, lemonade, and snacks in our Praise and Plays Room!
We transition into a group worship time with Praise songs followed by teachers taking their classes to separate rooms to tell the Bible story of the day. Parents pick up their children from their child’s classroom.
Sunday School FAQs
What time is Sunday School?
10:15–11:00 a.m. between worship services. We invite kids to the Praise and Plays Room directly after worship for donuts, lemonade and fellowship. Look for the orange Children’s Welcome Center.
Where do I take my child?
Preschoolers (ages 3–4) meet in the childcare room. If your child age 4 or age 5 (and not yet in Kindergarten) was in Children’s Worship during service, they will be taken to their preschool classroom by a teacher. Three-year-old children move from childcare to Sunday School with a teacher.
Kids in Kindergarten to grade 5 report directly to the Praise and Plays Room after worship. We start with donut holes, lemonade and “get-your-wiggles out” worship songs. Next, teachers take the kids to their classrooms to share a Bible story and activity.
Where do I pick up my child? Children are released to parents only promptly at 11:00 a.m. from their classrooms. Please be prompt so our teachers can pick up their own children or attend second service worship!
Classroom Assignments: Preschool: right hand side of childcare rooms, K-1: Storytelling Room; 2-3: Holyword Theater; 4-5: Good News Room (combined boys and girls this year!) A map of rooms is located at the orange Children’s Welcome Center.
What is Sunday School Sings? This is an extension of regular Sunday School Class! Children’s Music Ministry Coordinator Jenee O’Connor leads Sunday School Music Time on the first Sunday of every month giving kids a musical way to learn more about God and a way to participate in worship on select Sundays! We still meet for a snack in Praise and Plays after worship. Kids will be grouped by ages for this time together starting with the 3 and 4 year-olds in Cherub Choir all the way up to grade 5!
