Angel Tree

Help Children of Incarcerated Parents
November 10 – December 2

Angel Tree Prison Fellowship connects children with incarcerated parents at Christmastime by providing presents to kids on behalf of their incarcerated mom or dad.

1. These parents feel pride in doing something personal for their children

2. The children experience the joy of knowing their parents haven’t forgotten them

You can make a difference in these children’s lives this Christmas by sharing Christ’s love through a Christmas present.

This year, Crossroads will be serving 150 children in one of two ways. First is the traditional way we have served whereby we shop, wrap and deliver gifts to families. We will serve 75 children in this way. We will also sponsor 75 children online, giving opportunity for those of you who prefer to support this ministry in this way. The following are ways you can be involved in this ministry and help these children.

1. On Sunday Nov 10, 17, and 24, you can select one or more angels from the Angel Tree in the narthex. Please note that you must register your angel with a committee member (those of us with clipboards) once you have made your selection from the tree. This is how we track the gifts. Please use the gift suggestions on the paper angel to purchase gifts and return them (new and approx. $25) unwrapped or in an open gift bag, with the angel tag securely attached, and place under the Angel Tree on or before Sunday, December 1.

2. Crossroads has committed to sponsor 75 children through the online method by which you can purchase a $30 gift card by clicking here. Note that most of these children will be from other areas of the country who are rural and would otherwise not be able to receive gifts through this program. They need our help!

3. Come to the gift wrapping party on December 8, held after our church service and help wrap all 150 gifts up in the gym.

4. Between December 8-25, help deliver gifts to the children’s homes in time for Christmas. We need volunteers to deliver so please sign up by the Angel Tree.

This is a great ministry for individuals, couples, and families. Please stop by the Angel Tree after church on the above mentioned Sundays. And, if you haven’t before, please consider volunteering to help deliver gifts this year. It is extremely heartwarming to bring joy to these children and their families despite their extraordinarily tough circumstances. Thank you.
